With effect from 1 July 2023, the Pharmacy and Poisons Board will only issue certificates of drug/ product registration in electronic form (“the electronic certificate”) for applications for initial registration, renewal of registration and change of registered particulars. The certificates in paper form (“the paper certificates”) will no longer be issued after the aforementioned date.
Upon approval of the application, the electronic certificate will be automatically generated by the Pharmaceuticals Registration System (PRS2.0). A user administrator or authorized user can download the electronic certificate through PRS2.0. The electronic certificate could be downloaded ONE time only by the user administrator or authorized user. Therefore, the certificate holder of the registered pharmaceutical product should ensure the electronic certificate is successfully downloaded and keep the digital copy for record after downloading.
The electronic certificate will contain most information as the paper certificate whilst bearing a digital signature and an additional QR code. The public may access the registration information by scanning the QR code. The electronic certificate can be verified via uploading the Portable Document Format (PDF) file of the electronic certificate issued by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board through the webpage
